Este año parecía que no tendríamos una de esas películas de terror que dividiría a la crítica y generaran morbo en la gente, teniendo en cuenta que hemos tenido porquerías como Brightburn, Prodigy o la simplemente asquerosa The Curse of la Llorona. Afortunadamente este año parece indicar que Adam Egypt Mortimer nos dará una joya de género llamada: Daniel Isn’t Real.

Daniel Isn’t Real cuenta la historia del joven Luke quién está sufriendo una serie de problemas familiares que le hacen refugiarse en Daniel, un amigo imaginario de su infancia que le ayuda a superar su dolor. Dotado de un gran carisma y repleto de energía, Daniel ayuda a Luke a alcanzar sus sueños antes de obligarle a luchar desesperadamente por no perder su alma.

La película protagonizada por Miles Robbins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sasha Lane y Hannah Marks tuvo su estreno mundial en el pasado SXSW. Poco después, Samuel Goldwyn Films adquirió los derechos de su distribución. Está programada para estrenarse mundialmente el 06 de Diciembre del 2019.
