‘ŌDISHION’: 20 AÑOS DE LA OBRA MAESTRA DE TAKASHI MIIKE
Takashi Miike puede que sea el director más prolífico de la actualidad: hasta seis películas por año. Y casi todas tan sangrientas como celebradas por los críticos y sus fanáticos. El japonés es conocido por ser un director de cine capaz de hacer cualquier tipo de género, como la trilogía de acción ‘Dead or Alive’, el controvertido filme gore ‘Ichi, The Killer’, el fenómeno de horror ‘Chakushin Ari’ y por supuesto la polémica y aclamada película de culto ‘Ōdishion (aka Audition)’ de 1999.
Ōdishion no es una película fácil, eso que nos quede claro. De hecho, ostenta un peculiar récord que resulta tan triste como significativo, y es que, hasta la fecha, es el film con más abandonos de sala durante su proyección en el Rotterdam Film Festival 2000, por sus atrocidades varias, además una enfurecida espectadora, enfrentada a Miike, le dijo gritándole: «Tú eres el mal».
CONTROVERSIA
¿Pero qué hace tan especial a Ōdishion? Más allá de su crudeza visual, el escabroso cuento romántico el film refleja toda una crítica a la sociedad japonesa, al tocar temas feministas y misóginos. Y es aquí donde entra el personaje de Asami Yamazaki (Eihi Shiina) explica la resonancia de la película, al establecer una crítica generacional a la familia conservadora, como a la sociedad patriarcal del siglo XX.
La generación de Shigeharu Aoyama (Ryo Ishibashi) no comprende a las mujeres modernas, sino que se embuten en sus trajes de ejecutivos respetables y escogen esposas educadas, despampanantes y sumisas, a la vez que regentan puteros de noche. No es que Asami sea una vengadora feminista, es un producto de la sociedad hipócrita y sexista, que la propia sociedad no ha sabido manejar ni comprender, para llegar al desenlace donde el cine de Miike brota en su máximo esplendor de terror y violencia gratuita.
Definitivamente Ōdishion es de esas películas que todos llevamos dentro, nunca se olvidan, pasan los años y sigue allí esperando que a le des esa revisión. Si hay un film por el que Takashi Miike será venerado eternamente en Occidente ese es este.
